Welcome to Baby Jupiter, Established 2003. For some people it reminds them of a weird little bar you might stumble across in Amsterdam.  Has even been described as the best house party in town.

The crew down at Baby J’s are a relaxed, friendly bunch, that like to party!

Music & booze are their passion. You’ll find a wide range of rum, gin & bourbon, rotating guest beer for the ale lovers & a great selection of imported/local bottled & draught lager.

Stripped has been held (on the first Wednesday of the month) down there since we started and has features the likes of Hayley Gaftarnick, The Paper Bears, Bat In The Saddle, Benson, Georgette Hilton and LeeSun.

The intimate size of the venue also helps the musicians play what they want to play, rather than worry about placating baying hoards. “From a singer/songwriters perspective the problem that I have found with other venues in Leeds is that the larger the venue the more pressure there is to play ‘the hits’, you know house party favourites like Mr. Brightside or Wonderwall” says Mr. Straker of the Paper Bears, “and I became increasingly bored of playing Coldplay or Valerie. This may sound selfish as a performer but I wanted to play what I wanted to play, and to a crowd that would appreciate that. I believe that only in the smaller venues – Baby Jupiter has 110 capacity – is the guitarist, singer/song -writer, band, what ever, really able to have more freedom over the music, and their music which in turn leads to a more loyal and knowledgeable crowd.”

For those of you who have never been to Jupes, the atmosphere can be absolutely electric!
